Volunteer
Use what you have to build freedom
Give your time, experience or practical skills to work that helps women and children move towards safety, dignity and lasting freedom.

Find where you can contribute
FREE depends on committed volunteers who serve with humility, consistency, confidentiality and respect for the people we support.

- Social work and practical support
- Beauty and personal-care services, when active

- Administration
- Other professional or practical skills
Not every role is available at all times. Placements depend on current needs, safeguarding requirements, supervision capacity and your experience.
What volunteering with FREE requires
Safety and confidentiality come first
Some roles involve contact with vulnerable people or access to confidential information. Screening, safeguarding and confidentiality are therefore essential parts of the process.
Tell us about your experience
The application asks about your contact details, area of interest, church or community connection, relevant experience and references.
What happens after you apply
Submitting an application does not automatically confirm a placement. The FREE team will review your application and contact you about suitability, availability and next steps.
Apply in three simple steps
Where a role involves vulnerable people or confidential information, FREE will explain any screening, training, safeguarding or confidentiality requirements before a placement is confirmed.
